Basil began interning with the crew at the Kingston Fire Department in January of 2026.

Basil is working to achieve her Dogtorate in Occupawtional Therapawy.
She interns with a student from Misericordia University, who is working to achieve her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Together, they learn what bells and funny sounds make everyone get up and run away.

Basil works with other service animals and therapy animals to help teach the fire fighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) about healthy ways to cope with anxiety.

Edison is Basil's first Dalmatian friend. He is a deaf, so his Mum speaks to him with her hands and feet.
Edison teaches Basil new things.

Basil is very helpful to the firefighters when they learn new things, like progressive muscle stimulation.
Some thymes she has to hug them while they learn to try new things.

Throughout this thyme in service discovered that the fire fighters and first responders in Kingston are truly the BEST IN SHOW.
They are very emotionally intelligent and they care about what they do.
They save humans, dogs, and cats for a job, which is very noble and merits the award of the title BEST IN SHOW at the First Annual FINE ARFS FIESTA in Kirby Bark on May 16, 2026!

Basil is a bird dog, who is allergic to birds!
Woe is her. She cannot partake in the species-appropriate bone diet specialty items that Ms. Rebecca Stately keeps on her counter, but she sure wishes that she could. Basil RUFFS barking about Joseph's in Peckville. It is her favorite place to dine.
Dogs are welcome to dine on the Waterfall Patio. Service dogs, like Basil, can dine inside the restaurant, by law.
Mention to the staff that you are a friend of Basil's and they will bring your pooch fresh shaved turkey sliced from the frame.
Joseph's is a dog's favorite place to dine in Scranton.

Basil RUFFS the staff at Joseph's soooooo much!
She adores Chef Randy for his technique and Steven, one of the fabulous servers, was Basil's first friend at Joesph's. He is the reason she keeps going back.
Once you dine on the patio, you won't stop going back either!
Joseph's Restaurant is also very special because they have many items that are designated Gluten Free.
The restaurant is very cautious with food preparation and is recommended as safe for people with Celiac disease.

English Cattle Dog
in the silky fluffy HOUSE!
Brynt is an English Cattle dog, who was scooped from the hillside, and made to live aboard a narrow boat in a London canal as a young lad. His Mum re-rooted in the YouKnighted States, where he was left along the Mighty Susquehanna, near the Black Diamond Bridge.
Basil walked that beat along the river, from Hanover to Wyoming. She sniffed all the dogs, and she helped the ones with the most anxious paws.
Brynt was running up trees in Riverside, when they called for Basil. He was confined within about 20 feet of fenced in yard, and he was so anxious, he was using it as a LAUNCH PAD to run up a 75 foot pine.
Basil showed Brynt the levee system, along the Mighty Susquehanna. He was an unruly walker. He is a Cattle Dog, after all. He is meant to be working in the hills of England, rounding up cows and sheep. He had no idea where he had been, where he was, or what he was supposed to be doing, left alone inside a city.
Basil taught Brynt about Auntie Jo Jo's magic leash trick, and Brynt immediately transformed into a GRRRRREAT Pack Leader. He became better adjusted to his surroundings by going on regular pack walks along the Susquehanna.
Walking is a great way to help feel more calm inside. People who speak in Science can show you charts and things that prove it is good for you. If you have anxiety, Basil gives four paws up to the Susquehanna levee system.
Try it today, from Wyoming, PA, on Route 11 nearest to The Midway Shopping Center. Follow the river south, past the legendary Wyoming Airport, and into the City of Wilkes Barre, where the statue of a King presides open armed, over a city at the mouth of the river. Walk the path of Teedyuscung and the other Native hoomans, who defended and settled The Wyoming Valley.

TEACH US HOW TO POINTE, SIRE!
Daddy and Me was an essential ingredient to growing The Herbs.
Each day, the puppies spent thyme with their Pup, learning to pointe and play and hunt, while Mum recuperated from nursing ten puppies on her eight teats.

Mother Willow is the sweetest Mum. She is ticked on her right ear, meaning it is black. She is also ticked over her opposite eye.
Willow inherited her Mum's mowhawk, which she passed on to several of The Herbs. She also has the most beautiful eyes. Puprika and Pepper both have their Mum's eyes.

Nursing was very difficult for Mother Willow. Diet was very important during her pregnancy and while she was growing The Herbs with her milk. Willow had no idea how many puppies were growing inside of her. Her doctor suspected six. There were ELEVEN!
Since The Herbs were born at the height of the summer, Willow enjoyed all the fruits and vegetables the garden could grow. She ate eggplant, peppers, green beans, and broccoli. She ate carrots and lots of Greek yogurt.

PLAY THYME WITH THE HERBS!
The Herbs learned to play well with others, because they were given thyme.
Hoomans gave them love and made sure they were being nice and kind to one another.
The Herbs were not allowed to bully one another, but they were allowed
to bark and chase one another during Bark Game.
The Herbs turned out to be a really nice pack.

ANISE
Anise earned his name for the marking above his eye that looked like Star Anise.
Anise was born with heterochromia. One of his eyes was blue, but only the bottom half. The other eye was the same gorgeous golden brown as his Mum's.
Anise was a true herb. He enjoyed snacking from the garden. He chewed on herbs all the thyme.

The Herbs were classicly trained in mewsic, since they were born.
The litter was shaped by healthy sound and vibration, to mitigate typical anxiety that is common among this breed.
Basil and Puprika went on to study at Wayne's World of Music.
They learned to play drums and guitar with their tails.
They also received vocal training and learned to howl in harmony.

Basil is in service to others. She serves the first responders of her favorite fire and police departments. She is a therapawist at a Care Farm designed to help children heal from trauma. She works with military veterans.
Her work is performed without cost to the recipient. Basil works Pro-Bone.

The Mighty Susquehanna
The Wyoming Valley, nestled along the Susquehanna, has been a crossroads of cultures, conflict, & industry for centuries.
Before European settlement, the region was home to the Lenape & later deeply influenced by the Iroquois Confederacy, whose political & military power shaped territorial claims throughout the 17th and 18th centuries.

During the colonial era, the valley became the stage for the Pennamite–Yankee Wars, a series of bitter land disputes between settlers from Connecticut, who claimed the region under the Susquehanna Company, and Pennsylvanians backed by the Penn family proprietors.
These clashes foreshadowed the violence that would erupt during the Wyoming Massacre of 1778, when British-allied forces and Indigenous
